Who is the best mother in the world?

.

.

F . A . I . L . U . R . E

.

.

She encourage you,

She motivate you,

She push you move forward.

Since we were young.. Our teacher, parents, grandparents, great-grandparents, great-great-grandparents, if you have the chance to meet them, they always say

failure is often a stepping stone towards success

failure is the mother of success

failure precedes success

failure breeds success

failure is path to success

Some might even sing

自己跌倒自己爬

你看山上为你开满红

Basically, we shouldn’t give up easily when we face some problems. Take it as an experience. Think positively. Tomorrow will be a better day!!

But what can you do if you fail too often?

L . o . n . g . l . o . n . g . time ago, there was an ambitious handsome kampung boy name Ah Hou, living with his sexy mother in a small small kampung. One day, he decided to go city for a brighter future. That’s how the story begins…...

It is lunchtime. Ah Ho is getting ready to leave for the big big city of Kuala Lumpur. He is having a farewell meal with his mother. His mother is worried as he is her only son and he has never been out of the village… what will happen to him?? Will he be ok?

And now… we begin Ah Ho’s journey in KL…

Ah Ho arrives in Pudu bus station, bedraggled, tired, lonely…

… and totally lost.

He ask directions from a local…

Being the “kampung boy” that he is, Ah Ho doesn’t realise that this is an outdoor car park…

And therefore prepares to “rent” a car!!

Oh! What did he see?

Ah Ho is amazed by the sea of people in one of KL’s most busy intersections

He is not so sure about the function of zebra crossings..

Finally, he has arrived at his uncle’s house…

These are part of my site analysis presentation slides for my Design Studio 3 during 2006. Thanks to the - pak chi group- , especially the Ang Family. We have the idea when we yam char at mamak stall. Yeah~ exactly like how Monsters Inc created. Master ideas always appear during empty chat, like Ah Wong always say “Chin cai ngap, dong bei cap”. I will say it was one of my favorite presentations in Taylor’s College and we got good respond~ happy~ The details of the presentation (the site analysis) won’t be explain here because I’m sure you won’t be interested~

phone

What is the purpose of a P H O N E ?

To shorten the distance between human.

To communicate with someone far away.

To keep in touch with your family, your love, your friends.

Even though they are thousand miles away, but you still manage to talk to him as if he is just standing beside you through the tiny little holes – the receiver and transmitter.

With the technology, it is now getting smaller, advance with more function, and now we have mobile phone and we can talk anywhere, anytime.

So, now…. The question is…since there is such a great invention more than 100 years ago….

Why must you speak so loud on your phone on the bus?

Is your friend that far away till he can’t hear you?

O R

The bus is moving, so the momentum and inertial force you to speak louder?

O R

You worry that you are getting further from your friend because the bus is moving?

C E L A K A ! Come on lar...That’s a phone lar wei kawan....

Hey boy...Listen to me...If you don’t know how to fully utilize the phone...

Next time horr.....write your friend a

What you usually do when you are waiting for bus at bus stop?
.

Have you ever imagine what will happen….
.

.

.

When a biker pass by the bus stop, you s e p a k kasi dia?
.

When someone bend down to tie their shoe, sepak kasi b u n t u t dia?
.

When a couple kissing, you move forward and ask bolehkah I j o i n ?
.

When a person listening to the Ipod, you take off one side of his earphone and ask: can I k o n g s i dengan you?
.

When a child crying for no reason, you tampar kasi dia, then turn to his mother and say: you are w e l c o m e .
.

When parents scolding the child too loudly and rude, you tampar kasi dia, then turn to the kids and say: call me s u p e r m a n .
.

When you waited the bus for too long, you just stand in the middle of the road, stop a car, tell the drive: I’m a cops, I have to borrow your car now, I’ll give you a 好 市 民 獎 (good citizen award) when I return you the car.
.

When you saw a very pretty girl, you walk towards her, and say: My name is B o n g , Jam Bong.
.

When a bus is late from the time it should be there, once you get up to the bus, then shout at him: You don’t have a w a t c h ar? Bodoh!

Serpentine Gallery Pavilion 2008

A short introduction of Serpentine Gallery. It is a modern and contemporary art gallery which located at the Kensington Gardens (a huge one!!), Hyde Park, in central London. Since the summer of 2000, a temporary pavilion will be construct which design by famous architect every year, for example, Zaha Hadid, Daniel Libeskind, Toyo Ito (one of my favourite architect) and etc. It is the world’s first and most ambitious architectural programmed of its kind, and is one of the most anticipated events in the international design calendar.

This year was Frank Gehry’s turn. Frank Gehry. Hmm… (one of an architect who kena sue~) haha.. Since studio 3, I was quite interested and impress with his work. He was the precedent study architect during the studio. Finally I was able to get to some of this work. Although this is not a building, but it was pretty amazing! It is lovely.. It is brilliant.. It is fantastic.. haha.. To be honest, I always felt that FG’s build unnecessary structure, but, I like it! Haha. I like the way he express his idea with his structure, the way he develop his ‘sketches’ into architecture which something Alex doing now. And also the way he challenge engineering.

The building was supported with four massive steel columns and is comprised of large timber planks

A complex net work of overlapping glass planes that create a dramatic, multi-dimensional space.

Frank Gehry said: 'The Pavilion is designed as a wooden timber structure that acts as an urban street running from the park to the existing Gallery. Inside the Pavilion, glass canopies are hung from the wooden structure to protect the interior from wind and rain and provide for shade during sunny days. The Pavilion is much like an amphitheatre, designed to serve as a place for live events, music, performance, discussion and debate. As the visitor walks through the Pavilion they have access to terraced seating on both sides of the urban street. In addition to the terraced seating there are two elevated seating pods, which are accessed around the perimeter of the Pavilion. These pods serve as visual markers enclosing the street and can be used as stages, private viewing platforms and dining areas.'

Part of my texts were taken from the website - Serpntine Gallery
Because I’m not till the standard to write everything by myself yet, but that day will be soon!!

Guess what I found on my way back ~ I know you won’t know… so, never mind, let me tell you…
